While more than 68% of companies are already using 3D printing in production, this rapidly evolving technology is becoming more accessible, allowing people to create, repair, and experiment like never before. 3D printers are machines that create three-dimensional objects from digital designs by layering materials like plastic or metal. 

Our reporter Lena Brinkmann talked to Jan Brusse, an employee of Smartlab at Forum Groningen, about what doors this technology opens, and what risks should be considered.
